You choose the framework
A framework defines both which sources may be cited and how those sources are read. Gospels Only is restricted to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Other frameworks add sources recognized by their traditions.
Evidence comes before the answer
The question is searched against the framework’s eligible public-domain corpus. The answer is built from retrieved passages, and citations that cannot be traced to those passages are removed rather than served.
When the source shelf does not support a confident conclusion, “not enough evidence” is a valid answer. In Compare mode, frameworks answer independently before a separate synthesis identifies agreements and differences.
The limits remain visible
AI-written prose can still strain context or emphasis even when a citation exists. Jeevesus separates direct evidence from inference, shows source excerpts, and treats its output as research assistance rather than religious or professional advice.
