Questions and answers
Questions and generated results are stored so their pages can load and so repeated work can sometimes be avoided. Private results require an unguessable browser-held access token and are automatically deleted after about 30 days.
A result becomes public only when its creator explicitly shares it. Shared result pages remain revocable and are marked noindex. Separately reviewed Explore pages are editorial snapshots and do not expose private ownership data.
Abuse protection and measurement
Rate-limit and cost events use a one-way hash rather than storing raw IP addresses, and those events do not include question text. Product analytics, when configured, receives categorical route and feature events—not question text, answer text, citations, IDs, or canonical slugs.
